Ann MacCarthy joined Cook Associates in 2005 as Vice President and Managing Director of the Global Retail and Consumer Products Practice in the New York office.

Ann’s 15 years of high level search experience include recruitment of “best-in-class” C-level to Director-level executives that span multiple chAnnls of distribution in all classes of trade from luxury to mass market in the consumer products, apparel and home fashion industries.

She understands the importance of great product and has a track record of recognizing talented executives that can drive brand growth. Ann will help extend Cooks’ well established global consumer good practice’s “best in class” reputation in the Retail/Wholesale sectors.

The practice serves clients within the specialty retail, direct marketing, e-commerce and wholesale chAnnls in all areas of functional management including general management, design, merchandising, product development, supply-chain, marketing, finance and operations. Global coverage includes design in Paris and Milan and supply chain in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Ann’s insider experience as a Vice President of Human Resources for Gestetner PLC and senior positions in human resources at Sara Lee Corporation and U. S. Industries’ Apparel Group, enable her to partner effectively in addressing organizational issues. She possesses a comprehensive understanding of strategies, operations and management structure of retail and consumer products companies.

Ann chairs the International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruitment and holds membership in the American Retail Federation, Catalog Council of the DMA, Association of Interactive Media and The Fashion Group. Ann has been featured in The Wall Street Journal’s CareerJournal.com on retail career features.

A native of New York, Ann holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Pace University with a focus in Marketing.
