What
is the IACPR
The
International Association for Corporate & Professional Recruitment
(IACPR) mission is to provide the senior-level recruitment community
with opportunities to network, share best practices and build cutting-edge
expertise within a collaborative environment. The organization’s
members are professionals whose current and primary responsibilities
are focused on executive-level talent acquisition and retention.
Our
Experience
My
partner and I, Chris LaVoie, had the pleasure of attending the
IACPR conference in New York, NY. It was the fourth of five back-to-back
conferences that we attended and we loved every minute of it.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Kay
Kennedy (Executive Director) and Agnes Gomes-Koizumi (Associate
Director). Both Kay and Agnes went out of their way to make our
experience a pleasurable one and we thank them very much for that.
With their assistance, we were given the green light to interview
an interesting segment of their membership: included were some
of the most sought after Executive Recruiters in the country and
a host of America's top HR professionals from Fortune 500 companies
respectfully.
It was inspiring to see both Executive Recruiters and Human Resource
professionals under one roof, united by a common denominator:
The advancement of Human Capital as we know it. The fluency and
aptness of their Constitution illustrates my point:
Article 1 of 6:
The Constitution of the IACPR
as revised on February 6, 2003
Article 1 - Purpose
The purpose of this Association
shall be: to develop and promote standards and ethical practices
within our industry; to provide a forum through which members
may exchange ideas and information and generally aid one another
in conducting their professional activities; to enhance the professional
status and importance of the HR and consulting disciplines; to
promote personal acquaintances among executive professionals;
to sponsor and conduct conferences, meetings and symposia designed
to inform members and other interested parties of legislative
developments, current research, industry issues and practices
relating to the recruitment, development and retention of executives.
The video above answers the question as to why these professionals
share their thoughts and principals amongst their peers under
the IACPR umbrella.
We invite you to view their personal video interviews and get
to know them in their own words
In closing, we thank them all for their time and wish them a happy
and healthy future.
