A New York native, Karen Russo attended Hofstra University and earned a B. S. degree in marketing from Pace University. During the following decade Russo gained extensive experience in search and placement, as a recruiter and as a consultant. she handled searches in a variety of industries and professions, including financial services, entertainment, environmental enterprises, telecommunications, consumer products, pharmaceuticals and public relations.

Since 1996 K. Russo Associates Inc., in Greenwich, Connecticut has grown to be a very successful firm. The client list includes some of the nations leading Fortune 500 companies, as well as smaller organizations in the Tri-State area and across the country. Today K. Russo Associates, Inc., with two full time and two part time employees places an average of 40 positions per year with less than one fall off per year. The average retention of the placements exceeds three years and the firm maintains a 60% retention rate within client organizations.
