April Metivier
Chief
Operating Officer
A
graduate of Emory University in Atlanta, GA, April had a double
major: Psychology and Spanish. One summer she worked as an intern
for NBC. That was the summer of 1996 and included the summer Olympics
in Atlanta. Sometimes good things happen just by luck.
Most
of the time, however, it takes hard work and commitment. One of
the biggest influences shaping April’s life was being cut
from the swim team as a freshman. The coach told her she was just
not good enough. Later in the same season, a position on the team
opened and April was determined to try out again. She practiced
five hours a day and made the team. She went on to become the
best swimmer on her team and competed on a state and national
level. Determination to succeed became April’s trademark.
April
started in the recruiting industry in 1997. She was successful
marketing collegiate resumes to Fortune 500 companies. As Manager
of Corporate Relations, part of her responsibilities was introducing
new services.
In
1999, she joined MOUNTAIN, LTD. as a Technical Recruiter. Before
long, she also assumed some technical sales duties. In November
2000, she earned her Certified Temporary Staffing Specialist (C.T.S.)
designation from the National Association of Personnel Services
(N.A.P.S.). With this certification, she advanced to the status
of Senior Recruiter. April received the ‘Circle of Excellence’
award as outstanding Recruiter of the year 2000 for MOUNTAIN,
LTD. In October 2001, April was promoted to Operations Manager
and became accountable for the corporation’s Account Managers,
Recruiters and 350 field employees. In 2002, she was promoted
to Vice President of Operations.
April’s
professionalism and commitment to excellence reflect her life.
In 2003, she was offered a seat on the Board of Directors of MOUNTAIN,
LTD. Embracing the philosophy and goals of the company, her input
on the board is most welcomed. Additionally,April was elected
Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Northern New
England Association of Personnel Services (NNEAPS).
As
of January 2, 2006, April accepted the position of Chief Operating
Officer of MOUNTAIN, LTD. |
