Barbara Launer
Direct
Placement Coordinator and Internal Auditor
As Manager of our Direct Placement Recruiting Team and ISO Internal
Auditor, Barbara Launer is a unique and very fitting addition
to our staffing company. With MOUNTAIN, LTD TM’s ISO 9001
certification, quality management is an ongoing process. Barbara
is the “shepherdess” that gently, firmly and with
a touch of humor, keeps everyone on the compliance track. With
her ISO training and experience, combined with four years as a
Direct Placement Recruiting Manager, she knows both the “Why”
and the “How.”
Originally
from Indiana, Barbara has a BS degree from Indiana State University.
She majored in Administrative Systems and minored in Management
and received the ISU School of Business Distinguished Scholar
Award.
Before
moving to Maine, Barbara and her husband, Mark, founded a creative-learning
toy manufacturing company and successfully brought it to the national
market. In this and several other businesses, Barbara has utilized
her education to build and streamline systems: from computerizing
manual paperwork processes, to implementing an ISO system, to
time and motion studies that increased manufacturing efficiencies.
Analytical,
conscientious and thorough in the office, Barbara enjoys being
active in the outdoors in her free time. Cross country skiing,
ice skating, hiking, kayaking, and rock climbing are her favorites.
Barbara and her husband spend time together gardening and working
on their 80-acre coastal wooded lot, which is their pride and
joy.
