Bio:
Don Richard
Senior
Recruiter
Don Richard was born in Massachusetts, but his parents wanted
to raise their family in Maine and moved here when he was two
years old. Don could not wait to set out on his own to see the
rest of the country and did so soon after graduating high school.
He traveled for a number of years, and settled in Maryland and
Oregon, often working in outside sales. In time he realized he
missed Maine. His other revelation was how much he really wanted
a family of his own. Don and Karrie, an English teacher, and they
have two young children.
Prior
to recruiting, Don was the Assistant Coordinator of Development
for Maine Medical Center. He became involved in hospital and non-profit
development and especially in the capital campaign to build the
Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland, Maine. A master
at multi-tasking, he organized 37 fundraising events a year, for
more than three years. Among the fundraisers were celebrity golf
tournaments and the local portion of the Children’s Miracle
Network Telethon.
Don
began his Recruiting career in 1995 and started specializing in
the Healthcare Recruiting industry in 1997. Don has experience
placing just about every type of professional within the Healthcare
Industry, as well as some technical recruiting experience.
He
is a true ‘New Englander,’ and most often when he
is out of the office, there is a good chance of catching Don sporting
a blue base ball cap with a pair of red sox on it. A true and
loyal fan of the Red Sox baseball team since he was seven years,
Don also enjoys golf, camping, and most of all spending time with
his young family.
