by noted entrepreneur and mentor Fran Goldstein - a successful
businesswoman known for her passion, vision and innovation - Fran
started GSC in 1993 solely to provide staffing and placement services.
More than a decade later, GSC has built on the success of their
core business to encompass expanded consulting services. Understanding
the dynamics of ongoing business trends, GSC knows what it takes
to maintain and grow a business from the bottom up. GSC is staffed
by experienced, customer centric professionals committed to providing

From Staffing & Placement Firm ... To Industry & Business
Consulting Firm
In 1993 Fran Goldstein. She had a simple business plan, a solid
vision, creative energy, a sincere passion for her work, and was
a one-woman operation. Over time she grew the business exponentially,
increasing sales over 25 percent annually. GSC quickly became
greater Boston’s premier staffing and placement firm for
administrative support.
Fran’s
ability to successfully guide and grow GSC during challenging
economic cycles did not go unnoticed. She soon started receiving
calls from industry leaders and colleagues seeking her advice
for their businesses, as well as conduct training and motivational
sessions with their sales staff and recruiters. It was from these
calls that Fran saw a need to incorporate new service elements
into GSC’s business model, and begin working with today’s
business leaders and entrepreneurs -- the drivers behind the economy’s
up-tick.
Today, using
the same vision, energy and passion, Fran has expanded GSC’s
services to include informational Speaking & Training platforms
and Entrepreneurial Leadership services while continuing to provide
Professional Placement.

Bio:
Fran Goldstein
Fran
Goldstein, CPC CSP, is founder and president of Gold Staff Consultants,
a consulting firm specializing in Speaking & Training platforms,
customized Professional Placement, and Entrepreneurial Leadership
services. She has over 20 years business experience in the sales
and recruiting space.
Fran
landed her fist entrepreneurial opportunity in 1982 when she wrote
the RFP for women's halfway house on Boston's north shore - she
had a vision. The next two years Fran spent creating the twenty-bed
residential treatment facility, and at 23 was CEO and running
the program she had designed, staffed and successfully launched.
Fran
began her sales career as a recruiter, placing temporary and permanent
office support personnel. She grew a blended staffing division
for a leading Boston agency over 78% in two years and was promoted
to Manager within her first 18 months in the staffing industry.
Fran also established a temporary staffing division for a leading
Boston direct hire firm and reached profitability within the first
quarter. She went on to join a National Temporary Staffing Firm
as Regional Manager where she increased sales for her four branch
regions by 60% and implemented their first temp to hire conversion
fees. In 1993 Fran launched Gold Staff Consultants.
Fran volunteers professionally on the Board of Directors for NAPS
(National Association of Personnel Services), is Past Vice President
of MSA (Massachusetts Staffing Association), past president of
MAPS (Massachusetts Association of Personnel Services), Board
of Advisors for Minuteman Technical Regional High School, Vice
Chair of United Ways TGTL (Today's Girls Tomorrows Leaders), serves
on the board of Self Esteem Boston, and is affiliated with Northeastern
University College of Business.
Fran has been recognized by MAPS for her achievements, excellent
leadership and outstanding service, quoted in The Boston Globe
on trends in the staffing industry, and of the NAPS 2004 and 2005
Chairman's Award in which she was recognized for her many years
of leadership, outstanding dedication and professional commitment
to NAPS and the placement profession.
Fran
has spoken at the National Physician Recruiters Expo, NAPS Annual
Conference, NEAPS Regional Conference, and teaches Interviewing
Skills at Northwestern University.
Fran
has a BS from Syracuse University and lives in Winchester, MA.
