Company Bio

Jay Adams founded the company on January 1, 1983 in a small 10' x 10' office located at 136th and C St. Armed with two telephones, rented desk, rented chair, a bottom-of-the-line portable typewriter, shared photocopy machine, and a strong desire to make enough money to live on, Jay started to make his first recruiting calls to a list of bankers, with whom he had just attended agricultural credit school at Iowa State University while working at the Galva State Bank at Galva, Iowa. Fortunately, he had early success and moved to Regency and incorporated the business in October of 1984.

Adams, Inc. continued to grow as a one-man shop with Jay doing all of his own secretarial work on evenings and weekends with his Apple Macintosh computer (the first 128K version that was ever made). This continued until the conversion to a 28-user Pick system and the hiring of a part-time secretary in October of 1987.

After that, the firm grew with the addition of recruiters and support staff. To gain about three times the space, the company moved from Regency to the First National Bank Building in May of 1991. Jay's wife, Roxi, joined Jay in the business at this time, offering her expertise in direct marketing and sales. Adams, Inc. moved to its current location in November of 2005, and growth has continued to this day, with plans to diversify into related businesses.

Stuart Kazor
Sr. Executive Search Consultant

Stuart "Stu" Kazor is a Senior Executive Search Consultant for Adams, Inc. and has been with Adams since 1992. Stuart is a member of the Pinnacle
Society. The Pinnacle Society, formed in 1988, is an elite group of 75 members nationwide. It evolved as a resource for select consultants who want to share experiences and gain insight through other top peers. To qualify for membership, a consultant must meet rigid industry requirements. Stu is a graduate of the University of Nebraska Omaha, with a Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management.
